The Swallow and Crow – Aesop’s fables

swallow

Once a swallow and a crow were in flight together when the swallow couldn’t help but feel bad about the crow’s dull feathers. “Look at my beautiful colorful wings” boasted the swallow, spreading her wings wide and showing off her glorious wingspan. “Your feathers are so dull and boring, why don’t you try dressing better?” she chirped.

“your wings may be colorful and vibrant” croaked the crow,” But how come I’ve never seen you around in the winters, which is the season I enjoy the most”.

Truly, the swallows wing only served a seasonal purpose, and thus the crows wings surpassed them in usefulness.
