On a late, breezy evening, a mule was well fed, his belly bloated and his heart fully satisfied. He felt incredible in that moment and roamed around vainly, holding his head up high. “I am sure my father was a racer, an incredible horse!” he exclaimed.
But the very next day, the mule was put to work and had to plough fields all day long. He was exhausted and tired and felt miserable.
“My father was surely an ass” he sighed, realizing his actual fate.
He shouldn’t have boasted about his roots without knowing his pedigree and circumstances.
