The Wolves and Sheep – Aesop’s fable

A pack of wolves desperately tried to get near a herd of sheep but the dogs always drove them away. Clearly, they could not get to the sheep this way, so they changed their strategy. One day, they approached the sheep and said,” Why is there so much animosity between us. if it weren’t for those pesky dogs, we would all be such good friends. I’d say you ask them to go away.”

The innocent sheep fell for the trap and insisted that the dogs go away. The second the dogs left; the wolves quickly gobbled the sheep up.

You should never leave old friends for new people.
