A shepherd was very wary about a wolf who would roam around too closely to his herd of sheep. But slowly he began to realize that the wolf never ate his sheep. Instead he roamed around with them and even helped the farmer gather them and guide them.
Soon, the farmer began to trust the wolf, and let him get closer and closer to the herd. One day, the farmer had enough faith in the wolf that he left the sheep alone with him and went to do some chores in his hut.
But as he returned, he saw that many of his sheep had been killed and carried away by the evil wolf. Oh, had he been mistaken! One a wolf, is always a wolf. He should not have trusted the wild animal.
