The Wolf and the Bear – Aesop’s fable

bear

As a result of a terrible fight with a bear, a wolf had been badly injured. Unable to move himself he was desperate for some water. A sheep passing nearby saw him struggling. Thinking that the sheep would feel pity for him, the wolf asked him to get some water so that he can gather enough strength to catch himself a meal.

“A meal? That would be me of course. Why would I get you water when it would mean that you will end up killing me” said the goat, not impressed by the wolf’s sly attempts.

His hypocrisy was easily seen through.
